A deflector redirects air flow. Deflectors are installed or incorporated in the front fascia under the vehicle to redirect the air flow beneath the vehicle to flow through the cooling system and increase radiator cooling.
Side and upper air baffle/seals ensure that air passes through, and does not bypass, the radiator and the A/C condenser. A missing, damaged, or incorrectly installed baffle or seal may cause poor A/C performance or the engine to overheat. The side seals should be installed as shown in the above graphic location (1).
The adhesive backed lower radiator foam seal attaches to the lower tie bar and is designed to prevent air from bypassing the radiator and the condenser. An additional adhesive backed foam seal is located between the lower surface of the radiator and condenser. This seal helps to prevent recirculation of the air for better hot weather cooling and A/C performance.
