Converter Heat Shield Replacement HO2S1 Sensor

1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

Notice: The Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) uses a permanently attached pigtail and connector. Do not remove this pigtail from the Heated Oxygen Sensor. Damage or the removal of the pigtail or the connector could affect the proper operation of the sensor.




2. Drill out the heat shield rivets.
3. Remove the oxygen sensor connector from the shield.

1. Install the oxygen sensor connector on the shield.
2. Install heat shield rivets on the vehicle.
3. Lower the vehicle.
