Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 153237  Size: SH
  1. Relieve the fuel system fuel pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief .
  2. Remove the rear compartment trim panel (1). Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the bolts from the fuel sender access panel (2).

  4. Object Number: 191824  Size: SH
  5. Remove the electrical connector from the fuel tank pressure sensor.

  6. Object Number: 18839  Size: SH
  7. Remove the fuel tank pressure sensor from the fuel sender.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 18839  Size: SH
  1. Install the new fuel tank vapor pressure sensor into the fuel sender.

  2. Object Number: 191824  Size: SH
  3. Install the electrical connector to fuel tank pressure sensor.

  4. Object Number: 153237  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the fuel sender access panel (2) bolts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  7. Install the rear compartment trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement .
  8. Install the fuel tank filler pipe cap.
  9. Install the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  10. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
