Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor (1).

  2. Object Number: 210987  Size: SH
  3. Carefully remove the intake air duct from the throttle body and air cleaner cover. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 481282  Size: SH
  5. Remove the screws (2) retaining the air cleaner assembly cover .
  6. Remove the air cleaner cover (5) and carefully remove the air filter element (6).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 481282  Size: SH
  1. Carefully install the air filter element (6) into the air cleaner assembly (1).
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the housing cover (5) and the retaining screws (2).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 4 N·m (35 lb in).

  5. Install the intake air duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement .

  7. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the IAT sensor (1).
