Makes 🢒 Buick 🢒 2000 🢒 LeSabre 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Controls - 3.8L 🢒 Crankcase Ventilation System Inspection

Removal Procedure
  1. Turn OFF the ignition switch.

    2. Object Number: 378514 Size: SH
  2. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor (1).

    4. Object Number: 12315 Size: MH
  4. Remove the MAP sensor (1). Refer to Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Replacement .
  5. Use a 16 mm socket to press the access cover (2) down and rotate 1/4 turn counterclockwise.
  6. Remove the access cover.
  7. Remove the PCV valve (3) and the O-ring (4) from the intake manifold.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 12315 Size: MH
  1. Install the crankcase ventilation valve (3). Replace the PCV valve or the O-ring (4) if necessary.
  2. Reposition the access cover (2).
  3. Use a 16 mm socket to press the access cover (2) down and rotate 1/4 turn clockwise.
  4. Install the MAP sensor. Refer to Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Replacement .

    5. Object Number: 378514 Size: SH
  5. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the MAP sensor (1).
  6. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .
