Did you perform the Lighting Systems Diagnostic System Check?

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Lighting Systems

1. Install a scan tool.
2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
3. Place the twilight delay switch to the MAX position.
4. With a scan tool, observe the twilight delay voltage in the climate control panel (CCP) (w/C67) or instrument panel module (IPM) (w/CJ2) data list.

Does the scan tool indicate that the twilight delay parameter is greater than the specified value?

0.5 volts

Go to Step 3

Go to Twilight Sentinel Inoperative

1. With a scan tool observe the Lights On with Wipers input parameter in the dash integration module (DIM) data list.
2. Turn ON the windshield wipers.

Did the Lights On with Wipers input turn ON within 6 seconds?

Go to Step 6

Inspect for poor connections at the DIM. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 7

Go to Step 5

Replace the DIM. Refer to Dash Integration Module Replacement in Body Control System.

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 7

Test the lights on with wipers input circuit for high resistance or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 7

Go to Wiper/Washer System Check or Wiper/Washer System Check

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you find and correct the condition?

System OK
