  1. Turn ON the ignition.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the turn signal power feed circuit at the turn signal switch and a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

  1. Turn ON the turn signal switch.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the LH or RH turn signal switch output circuit at the turn signal switch and a good ground.

Test the turn signal switch output circuit for high resistance or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect for poor connections at the turn signal/hazard flasher module. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Repair the open circuit in the turn signal switch power feed circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
