Did you perform the Lighting Systems Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Install a scan tool.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. With a scan tool, observe the interior lamp switch input parameter in the instrument panel module (IPM) (w/CJ2) or the climate control panel (CCP) (w/C67) data list .
  4. Turn ON the interior lamp switch.

Does the scan tool parameter display ON?

With a scan tool, observe the overhead lamps output parameter in the rear integration module (RIM) data list .

Probe the interior lamp relay output circuit with a test lamp connected to a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Disconnect the interior lamp relay.
  3. Connect a test lamp between the switch side power feed circuit of the interior lamp relay and a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Connect a test lamp between the coil side power feed circuit of the interior lamp relay and a good ground.

  1. Connect a test lamp between the coil side feed circuit of the interior lamp relay and the control circuit of the interior lamp relay.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

  1. Connect a test lamp between the interior lamp switch input circuit at the CCP (w/C67) or the IPM (w/CJ2) and battery positive voltage (B+).
  2. Turn ON and OFF the interior lamp switch.

Does the test lamp turn ON and OFF with the switch?
