Do the LH turn lamps operate properly?

--

Go to Step 3

Go to Turn Signal Lamps and Indicators Inoperative - One Side

  1. Disconnect the instrument cluster connector.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  3. Move the turn signal switch to indicate a LH turn.
  4. Connect a test lamp from the instrument cluster connector LH turn signal indicator input circuit to ground.

Did the test lamp illuminate ON and OFF with the LH turn signal lamp?

Inspect for poor connections at the instrument cluster connector. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Replace the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges, and Console.

Repair the high resistance or open in LH turn signal indicator input circuit. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
