Did you perform the Wiper/Washer System Check?

  1. Disconnect the wiper harness connector from the wiper motor.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the ignition positive voltage circuit and the ground circuit of the wiper motor connector.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Connect a test lamp between the ignition positive voltage circuit of the wiper motor connector and good ground.

Inspect for an open WIPER fuse in the Underhood Junction Block.

Test the ignition positive voltage circuit of the wiper motor for a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems

Repair the open in the ignition positive voltage circuit of the wiper motor. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Set the wiper switch to HI.
  2. Connect a test lamp between the wiper speed signal circuit, terminal G, of the wiper motor connector and ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Check for an open ACCY fuse in the Underhood Fuse Block.

Replace the ACCY fuse.

Test the ACCY fuse circuit, CKT 43, of the wiper/washer switch for an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
