Did you perform the Wiper/Washer System Check?

  1. Disconnect the harness connector from the wiper motor.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  3. Set the wiper switch to LO.
  4. Connect a test lamp between the wiper speed signal circuit, terminal G, of the wiper motor connector and a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Test the wiper speed signal circuit, CKT 477, for an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the wiper/washer switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the wiper/washer switch. Refer to Multifunction Turn Signal Lever Replacement - On Vehicle .

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the wiper motor. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Replace the wiper motor. Refer to Windshield Wiper Motor Replacement .
