Radio Power and Grounds

The Radio Receives it power from the 10 A audio fuse in the rear fuse block that is Hot At All Times. The radio uses this B+ voltage to power all internal circuits and the VFT display.

Ground for the radio's internal circuits and the VFT display is through G300.

The radio has a separate power and ground circuit for the control knob back lighting. B+ power comes from Interior lighting. The ground for the back lighting is obtained through G201.

Radio Dimming

The VFT dimming is controlled by class 2 messages from the DIM.

The radio has a separate power and ground circuit for the control knob back lighting. B+ power comes from Interior lighting. The ground for the back lighting is obtained through G201.

Speakers

The radio supplies output for all speakers.

Remote CD Changer

The remote CD changer receives B+ power from the CD PLYR 10 A fuse in the Rear Fuse Block that is Hot At All Times. Ground is obtained through G300. The remote CD changer requires class 2 input from the radio for operation.

Output to the radio is through a right, left and common circuit. All three are shielded.

Radio Antenna Module

Power for the radio antenna module is supplied by the radio. This line carries B+ voltage and only has power when the radio is ON.

The FM composite line is used to adjust the signal output of the antenna module. This CKT has variable voltage between 0-8 V.

Ground for the module is a case ground.
