Removal Procedure
  1. Open the IP storage compartment door.
  2. Remove the 4 door to hinge fasteners.
  3. Remove the door.

    4. Object Number: 662318 Size: SH
  4. Remove the door insulator fasteners.
  5. Remove the door insulator.
  6. Remove the IP storage compartment door handle. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Door Latch Release Handle Replacement .
  7. Remove the IP storage compartment door latch. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Door Latch Replacement .

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the IP storage compartment door handle. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Door Latch Release Handle Replacement .
  2. Install the IP storage compartment door latch. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Door Latch Replacement .

    3. Object Number: 662318 Size: SH
  3. Install the door insulator.
  4. Install the door insulator fasteners.

    5. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the door to hinge fasteners.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  6. Align the door so that it has an equal amount of clearance around the entire outside perimeter.
  7. Adjust the striker. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Door Lock Striker Adjustment .
