Did you perform the Instrument Cluster Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Turn the ignitio ON, with the engine OFF.
  2. Test both sides of the following fuses for voltage using a test lamp:
  3. • IGN 1
    • IP

Does the test lamp illuminate with each fuse?

Test the ignition positive voltage circuit from the rear fuse block for a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test the battery positive voltage circuit from the underhood fuse block for a short to ground. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test the ignition positive voltage circuit from the rear fuse block for a high resistance or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test the battery positive voltage circuit from the underhood fuse block for a high resistance or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test the ground circuits from connector C1 of the IPC for a high resistance or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the rear fuse block. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.
