Did you perform the Instrument Cluster Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  2. Turn on the right turn signal.
  3. Observe the RH turn indicator on the instrument cluster.

Does the RH turn indicator operate properly?

Does the RH front turn lamp operate properly?

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Lighting Systems in Lighting Systems

  1. Install a scan tool.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. Turn on the right turn signal.
  4. With a scan tool, observe the Rt Turning Signal Sw. parameter in the Instrument Panel Cluster data list.

Does the scan tool display On?

Test the signal circuit of the RH turn indicator for a high resistance or an open between the instrument cluster (IPC) and the underhood fuse block. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the IPC. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the IPC. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .
