Did you perform A Diagnostic System Check-Door Systems?

  1. Make sure that the door module controlling the inoperative mirror is connected to the harness connectors except the mirror harness connector.
  2. Measure the voltage of the sensor supply pin on the door module.

Is the voltage in the range specified?

4.75-5 V

  1. Make sure that the door module controlling the inoperative mirror is connected to the harness connectors except the mirror harness connector.
  2. Attach a 3 A fused jumper to the sensor reference and sensor signal circuit pins for the inoperative mirror motor.
  3. With the scan tool, observe the mirror position sensor parameter in the driver door control module data list.

Does the parameter indicate the voltage range specified?

4.75-5 V

  1. Attach a 3 A fused jumper to the sensor return and sensor signal circuit pins for the inoperative mirror motor.
  2. With the scan tool, observe the mirror position sensor parameter in the driver door control module data list.

Does the parameter indicate the voltage range specified?

0-0.5 V

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the outside rear view mirror. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Replace the inoperative outside rear view mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement .

Replace the door module of the inoperative mirror. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
