Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Power Seat Systems?

Verify that the heated Seat Switch High Indicator Inoperative complaint is present.

Does the HI LED indicator of the heated seat switch operate as described in the Heated Seats Circuit Description?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

Is the HI LED of the heated seat switch always on?

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 4

1. Turn OFF the ignition.
2. Disconnect the heated seat switch connector.
3. Connect a 3-amp fused jumper wire from the ground terminal of the heated seat switch to a good ground.
4. Probe the HI LED terminal of the heated seat switch with a test lamp that is connected to battery positive voltage.

Does the HI LED of the heated seat switch illuminate?

Go to Step 5

Go to Step 10

Test the high heat LED feed circuit between the heated seat switch and the door module for a short to ground, a high resistance, or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems

Test the heated seat status signal circuit between the rear integration module and the heated seat module for a short to ground, a high resistance, or an open. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test the heated seat status signal circuit between the rear integration module and the heated seat module for a short to battery voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing Wiring Repairs and in Wiring Systems.

Test the high heat LED feed circuit between the heated seat switch and the door module for a short to voltage. Refer to Circuit Testing and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect the for poor connections at the harness connector of the door control module. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Inspect the for poor connections at the harness connector of the heated seat switch. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the door control module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement in Doors.

Did you complete the replacement?

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
