Some customers may comment that the horn requires a high effort to actuate in cold weather.
As the outside air temperature drops, the steering wheel inflatable restraint module cover material may stiffen, requiring a high effort to make contact with the horn switch assembly.
Replace the steering wheel inflatable restraint module.
Refer to the Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement procedures in the SIR sub-section of the Service Manual.
