This bulletin is being issued to revise the Power Sunroof Motor Replacement procedure in the Roof sub-section of the appropriate Service Manual.
Revise the text of the Power Motor Replacement procedure to read as follows:
Refer to Headliner Replacement in the Interior Trim sub-section.
Refer to Sunroof Manual Operation.
Important: A new replacement sunroof motor is set to the fully closed and flush position at the factory.
Hold the sunroof switch in the closed position until the sunroof motor stops. The sunroof electronics will automatically stop the sunroof motor at the fully closed and flush position.
3.1. | Slide the sunroof glass panel forward. |
3.2. | Seat the rear of the glass panel by pushing upward at the rear of the glass panel. |
Notice: Refer to the Fastener Notice in the Cautions and Notices sub-section of the Service Manual.
Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 5 Nm (44 lb in).
