SERVICE VME

If you should encounter an alternator type whine noise with a late model Buick equipped with a 3800 engine, and if you disconnect the alternator field wire and the noise is still there, the whine may be coming from the fuel pressure regulator. Disconnect the vacuum line that is attached to the fuel pressure regulator and plug it back in line. If the noise disappears, replace the fuel pressure regulator.
