The vehicle theft deterrent (VTD) module checks the memory to see if the learn coded key setting is on. If the learn coded key setting is on, the VTD sets this DTC.
The VTD must see the ignition switch input. The VTD cannot have a B1327 set as a current DTC.
If the learn coded key setting is on, the VTD sets this DTC.
The VTD will learn the key code. No driver warning message will be displayed for this DTC.
The VTD module clears the current status of the DTC when the module does not see the learn coded key setting as on. The DTC will still be retrieved as a current DTC until the ignition switch is cycled. The DTC will become a history DTC at that time.
