    • J 23653-SIR Steering Column Lock Plate Compressor
    • J 42137 Steering Column Lock Plate Compressor Adapter
  1. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Disassemble - Off Vehicle .

    2. Object Number: 338052 Size: SH
  2. Remove the bearing retainer using J 23653-SIR and J 42137 and dispose of it.
  3. Remove J 23653-SIR and J 42137 from the steering shaft assembly.

    4. Object Number: 665288 Size: SH
  4. Remove the shaft lock shield assembly (1).
  5. Remove the turn signal cancel cam assembly (2).
  6. Remove the upper bearing spring (3).
  7. Remove the upper bearing inner race seat (4).
  8. Remove the inner race (5).
