Makes 🢒 Buick 🢒 2001 🢒 LeSabre 🢒 HVAC 🢒 HVAC Systems - Automatic 🢒 Blower Motor Control Processor Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the right sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side In Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  2. Remove the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  3. Remove the Dash Integration Module (DIM) from the bracket and position aside.
  4. Remove the rear DIM bracket screws and lower the bracket enough to access the blower module.

  5. Disconnect the electrical connector (1).
  6. Remove the blower motor control processor retaining screw.
  7. Remove the blower motor control processor.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the blower motor control processor.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the retaining screw.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical connector (1).
  4. Install the DIM bracket screws.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 1.4 N·m (12 lb in).

  5. Install the DIM into the bracket.
  6. Install the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  7. Install the right sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
