🢒 Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement
Removal Procedure
Disable the SIR system. Refer to
SIR Disabling and Enabling
or
SIR Disabling and Enabling
in SIR.
Position the seat cushion out of the way. Refer to
Front Seat Cushion Replacement
.
Remove the head restraint. Refer to
Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement
.
Open the seat back cover J and arrow fasteners (1, 4).
Disconnect the double J channel fasteners (5).
Disconnect the J channel fasteners (2,3).
Disconnect the J channel fastener (1).
Remove the inflatable restraint. Refer to
Driver and Passenger Seat Side Inflatable Restraint Module Replacement
in SIR.
Remove the head restraint retainers. Refer to
Front Seat Head Restraint Retainer Replacement
.
Remove the shoulder belt retractor. Refer to
Front Seat Belt Replacement
in Seat Belts.
Remove the seat back cover (2) from the seat back pad (1) and the seat back frame.
Remove the seat back pad (2) from the seat back frame (1).
Installation Procedure
Install the seat back pad (2) over the seat back frame (1).
Install the seat back cover (2) over the seat back pad (1).
Work the foam pad into position so there are no wrinkles or lumps.
Ensure the hook and loop fastener on the cover and pad are fully engaged in order to ensure proper fit of the seat back cover.
Install the head restraint retainers. Refer to
Front Seat Head Restraint Retainer Replacement
.
Install the Inflatable restraint. Refer to
Driver and Passenger Seat Side Inflatable Restraint Module Replacement
in SIR.
Install the shoulder belt retractor. Refer to
Front Seat Belt Replacement
in Seat Belts.
Connect the J channel fastener (1).
Connect the J channel fasteners (2,3).
Connect the double J channel fastener (5).
Connect the J and arrow fasteners (1,4).
Install the head restraint. Refer to
Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement
.
Install the seat cushion. Refer to
Front Seat Cushion Replacement
.
Enable the SIR system. Refer to
SIR Disabling and Enabling
or
SIR Disabling and Enabling
in SIR.
