Service VME - Brake Light Stays Illuminated, I/P Cluster Lights Will Not Illuminate - intermittent IP IPC light short VME wire

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Red brake light stays illuminated; I/P cluster lights will not illuminate. Circuit 1134 light blue wire is located inside the I/P carrier and the harness routes behind the radio. During assembly, it is possible for the wires to be exposed out of the conduit and chafe to the mag-beam. The mag-beam is located behind the radio. If you encounter this condition, it will be necessary to repair the harness and protect it from the sharp edges of the mag-beam.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
