Service VME - Rattle Noise Coming from the I/P Area at the HUD Unit - cluster defroster grill intermittent IP IPC

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Some LeSabre Limiteds equipped with a HUD unit may encounter a rattle coming from the I/P area at the HUD unit. If the HUD unit is not seated properly, it will make contact with the instrument panel. Remove the HUD unit and inspect the clip on the bottom of the HUD unit. The clip may not be completely seated on the tab or the clip may be missing. It is important that the HUD unit is attached securely in the housing.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
