(04-01-39-005 Additional Info) Droning Sound from HVAC Blower System - kw motor noise

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom described in the PI.

Owners may experience a droning sound from the HVAC blower system. Performing service bulletin 04-01-39-005 will correct this concern. This new blower motor has a plastic housing, which makes it quieter than the previous metal housing. You also need to order a new bracket to bolt motor to HVAC case Part # 88957446. Vehicles built after 2/2/2004 are built with the new plastic cup housing. The service bulletin also indicates that the motor fits the 2004 LeSabre and Bonneville, but it will also fit the 2002 through 2005 models.
