The IPC monitors the driver information center (DIC) switch signal circuits in order to perform various functions. The DIC switch contains 2-5 active low momentary switches, depending on option content. The IPC detects a switch activation when the signal circuit is low.
The ignition is ON.
The IPC detects that the trip odometer reset switch signal circuit is low for greater than 15 seconds.
The IPC detects that the DIC fuel info switch signal circuit is low for greater than 15 seconds.
The IPC detects that the DIC gage info switch signal circuit is low for greater than 15 seconds.
The IPC detects that the DIC reset switch signal circuit is low for greater than 15 seconds.
The IPC detects that the metric conversion switch signal circuit is low for greater than 15 seconds.
The IPC detects that the trip odometer reset switch signal circuit is low for greater than 15 seconds.
The IPC ignores the malfunctioning switch circuit.
• | The current DTC becomes history when the fault is no longer present. |
• | The history DTC clears after 50 malfunction free ignition cycles. |
• | The IPC receives a clear code command from the scan tool. |
