Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the window to the full closed position.
  2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .
  4. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .

  5. Object Number: 441761  Size: SH
  6. Loosen the lower fastener (3).
  7. Remove the upper fastener (1), which is also the door applique lower fastener.
  8. Slide the window channel assembly down far enough so that the upper bracket clears the door applique.
  9. Remove the front window channel (1) from the door.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the front window channel (1) into the door, top end first.
  2. Insert the lower fastener into the keyhole slot.
  3. Rotate the top of the front window channel rearward and align on the lower edge of the window.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the upper fastener.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the upper fastener to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  7. Install the lower fastener.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the front window channel lower fastener to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  9. Install the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  10. Install the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .
  11. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
