Removal Procedure

  1. Move the window to the full down position.
  2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .
  4. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  5. Remove the window inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  6. Remove the window outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement .
  7. Remove the rear door window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Replacement .

  9. Remove the fastener (1) from the division post (2).
  10. Remove the rear door stationary window and window weatherstrip assembly (3) from the door.
  11. 9.1. Pull the window weatherstrip out of the door frame.
    9.2. Grasp the division post and pull the assembly forward.
  12. Remove the weatherstrip and the rear door stationary window as an assembly.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 489783  Size: SH

    Important: When reusing the window weatherstrip, the flange mounting area (1) must be pinched together in order to counteract the splaying effect when removed. Use a thumb and an index finger in order to pinch the carrier (2) back together. Work from one end of the weatherstrip to the other.

  1. Prep the weatherstrip for installation.

  2. Object Number: 430558  Size: SH
  3. Install the weatherstrip and stationary window into the door.
  4. 2.1. Seat the stationary window into the door frame.
    2.2. Insert the window weatherstrip into the door frame.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the division post fastener (1).
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the fastener to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  7. Install the rear door window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Replacement .
  8. Install the window outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement .
  9. Install the window inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  10. Install the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  11. Install the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .
  12. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
