Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  2. Remove the right sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  3. Remove the Dash Integration Module (DIM) from the bracket.

    4. Object Number: 291175 Size: SH
  4. Remove the rear two DIM module bracket screws.
  5. Reposition the DIM module bracket to gain access to the recirculation actuator.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the recirculation actuator.
  7. Remove the recirculation actuator screws.

  8. Remove the recirculation actuator.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 292146 Size: SH
  1. Install the recirculation actuator.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the recirculation actuator retaining screws (1).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.4 N·m (12 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical connector to the recirculation actuator.

  4. Position the DIM module bracket to the original position.
  5. Install the rear two DIM module bracket screws.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.4 N·m (12 lb in).

  6. Install the DIM module into the bracket.
  7. Install the right sound insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  8. Install the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Storage Compartment Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  9. Recalibrate the actuator. Refer to Actuator Recalibration .
