Reverse Lamps Inoperative or Stay On - keywords back backup light wire wiring

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Some 2006 Buick Lucernes may experience a condition in which the reverse lights stay on all of the time or are inoperative.

Remove the tail lamp assemblies and inspect the reverse lamp wiring for being pinched by the tail lamp attachment nut.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
