Noise From The Front End Either Right Or Left Side - keywords noise right scrap scrunch side tire wheel

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

This vehicle may have a concern of a noise from the front end area either right or left side. Noise may be more aubile when wet and may sound like a brake or hub noise.

Review DTB 06-07-30-006 Start the diagnosis with this additional step. Raise the tire pressure on the suspect corner to 45 psi and re-evaluate the noise. If the pitch of the noise changes or is eliminated, suspect tire/wheel interface. Locate a KGC (known good car) swap the entire wheel/tire assembly onto the problem car. If condition is gone proper root cause suggests mounting the problem tire/wheel on KGC to see if condition changes to KGC. If it does, replace tire and or wheel.

For a short period of time tire and/or wheel assemblies may requested to be returned to the WPC for analysis.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
