Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the radio harness connector C1 and amplifier harness connector C3.
- Ignition ON, test for less than 1 volt on the radio harness terminals listed below and ground:
• | Navigation audio signal (+) - terminal 4 |
• | Navigation audio signal (-) - terminal 16 |
⇒ | If greater than specified value, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage. |
- Test for greater than 1 ohm between the radio harness terminals listed below and ground:
• | Navigation audio signal (+) - terminal 4 |
• | Navigation audio signal (-) - terminal 16 |
⇒ | If less than specified value, test the signal circuit for a short to ground. |
- Test for less than 1 ohm between the navigation audio signal (+) circuit radio harness connector terminal 4 and the amplifier harness connector terminal 10.
⇒ | If greater than specified value, test for an open/high resistance. |
- Test for less than 1 ohm between the navigation audio signal (-) circuit radio harness connector terminal 16 and the amplifier harness connector terminal 9.
⇒ | If greater than specified value, test for an open/high resistance. |
- If all circuits test normal, replace the radio.
