The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
The SES Light is on with a P1819 and/or a P1915. The IMS Switch does not indicate park or neutral. The IMS harness may be pinched due to pan magnet being off location where the harness is routed between the scavenger filter and the bottom of the pan
Recommendation/Instructions:
Replace the IMS harness and route the harness correctly. Relocate the magnet between the indentations on the bottom of the pan.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
