The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some customers may comment on a static, whine, or pop noise in the speakers when the radio or ignition is turned on. One or more of the following DTC may be stored:
B1025 | Audio Output 1 Left Front Circuit Short to Battery |
B1035 | Audio Output 2 Right Front Circuit Short to Battery |
B1045 | Audio Output 3 Left Rear Circuit Short to Battery |
B1055 | Audio Output 4 Right Rear Circuit Short to Battery |
B1065 | Audio Output 5 Circuit Short to Battery (Center IP) |
B1075 | Audio Output 6 Circuit Open (Subwoofer) |
Recommendation/Instructions:
Inspect the body wire harness for chafing on or near the parking brake pedal assembly. Repair the wiring as necessary.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
