This bulletin is being revised to update the Parts Information. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 08-08-57-002 (Section 08 - Body and Accessories).
Condition
Some customers may comment that the carpet in the trunk is wet or damp.
Cause
The seal patch behind the rear bumper fascia may be allowing water to enter the trunk area.
Correction
Replace the seal patch behind the rear fascia.
- Remove the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement in SI.
- Remove the seal patch.
- Clean the area.
- Apply the seal patch to the sheet metal.
- Install the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement in SI.
