The throttle body assembly contains the following components:
• | The throttle blade |
• | The throttle actuator motor |
• | The throttle position (TP) sensor 1 and 2 |
• | The throttle actuator control (TAC) module |
The TAC system monitors the throttle position with 2 sensors. If the powertrain control module (PCM) receives a message from the TAC module that indicates TP sensor 1 voltage is outside a predetermined range, DTC P0120 will set.
• | DTCs P0606, P2108, U0107 are not set. |
• | The system voltage is more than 5.23 volts. |
• | The ignition is in the Crank or Run position. |
• | DTCs P0120 and P0220 run continuously when the above conditions are met. |
• | The system voltage is more than 5.23 volts. |
• | The ignition is in the Crank or Run position. |
• | DTCs P0606, P2108, U0107 are not set. |
• | DTC P2135 runs continuously when the above conditions are met. |
• | TP sensor 1 voltage is less than 0.376 volt or more than 4.506 volts. |
• | The PCM learns a minimum throttle position of more than 0.714 volt. |
• | The TP sensor reference voltage is less than 4.54 volts or more than 5.21 volts. |
• | The TP sensor 2 voltage is less than 0.282 volt or more than 4.6 volts. |
• | The PCM learns a minimum throttle position of more than 0.813 volt. |
• | The TP sensor reference voltage is less than 0.5 volt. |
• | The throttle position indicated by TP sensor 1 disagrees with the throttle position indicated by TP sensor 2 by more than 6 percent. |
OR |
• | The PCM learned minimum throttle position of TP sensor 1 disagrees with the learned minimum throttle position of TP sensor 2. |
OR |
• | The PCM detects that the TP sensor 1 signal circuit is shorted to the TP sensor 2 signal circuit. |
• | DTCs P0120, P0220, and P2135 are Type A DTCs. |
• | The control module commands the TAC system to operate in the Reduced Engine Power mode. |
DTCs P0120, P0220, and P2135 are Type A DTCs.
