Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to SIR Warning in the Preface section.

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
  2. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement.

    3. Object Number: 720529 Size: SH
  3. Remove the retaining screws (1) from the steering wheel bezel.
  4. Remove the steering wheel bezel (2).

    5. Object Number: 720531 Size: SH
  5. Insert a small, blunt ended tool into the access hole in the back of the steering wheel in order to push the switch out of the steering wheel.
  6. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 716696 Size: SH
  1. Connect the electrical connector.
  2. Align the switch to the switch opening in the steering wheel.
  3. Snap the switch into the steering wheel.

    4. Object Number: 720529 Size: SH
  4. Install the steering wheel bezel (2).

    5. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  5. Install the retaining screws (1) to the steering wheel bezel.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten screws to 3 N·m (27 lb in).

  6. Install the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement.
  7. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
