Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
- Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to
Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
- Support the exhaust and the rear of the support assembly. Use a block of wood at least 7 inches long.
- Remove the exhaust hangers.
- Remove the rear support assembly mounting bolts and lower the rear support assembly and exhaust together.
- Remove the rear body mount mounting bolts.
- Remove the rear body mount.
Installation Procedure
- Install the rear body mount and the two bolts ensuring that OUT is toward the outboard of the vehicle.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
- Install the rear body mount mounting bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the rear body mount mounting bolts to 77 N·m (57 lb ft).
- Raise and support the exhaust system and rear support assembly.
- Install the rear support assembly mounting bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the rear support assembly mounting bolt to 181 N·m (133 lb ft).
- Install the exhaust hangers
- Install the tire and the wheel. Refer to
Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation.
- Lower the vehicle.
