When the ignition is turned ON, the object alarm module receives the vehicle identification number (VIN) from the body control module (BCM). The object alarm module will compare the VIN received to the VIN stored in memory.
• | DTC B1325 is not set |
• | Ignition voltage is between 9-16 volts |
The VIN stored in the object alarm module does not match the received VIN.
• | Parking assist is disabled. |
• | The object alarm module commands the red indicator ON. |
• | The object alarm module sends a serial data message to the instrument panel cluster (IPC) to display SERVICE PARK ASSIST message in the driver information center (DIC) and a chime will sound. |
• | The DTC will transition to history when the fault is no longer present. |
• | A history DTC will clear after 100 malfunction-free ignition cycles. |

Verify that DTC B1015 is not set.
Important: When programming the VDAAW, use a Tech 2 and Candi module. Using the MDI to program the VDAAW will result in a failure to complete the programming operation.

When the ignition is turned ON, the vehicle direction alert alarm warning (VDAAW) module receives the vehicle identification number (VIN) from the body control module (BCM). The VDAAW module will compare the VIN received to the VIN stored in memory.
Ignition ON
The VIN stored in the VDAAW module does not match the received VIN.
• | Lane departure warning is disabled |
• | SERVICE LANE DEPARTURE SYSTEM is displayed on the DIC. |
• | The DTC will transition to history when a valid VIN is received by the VDAAW module. |
• | A history DTC will clear after 100 malfunction-free ignition cycles. |

Important: Do not install a module which has been previously installed in another vehicle or otherwise swap modules between vehicles. Swapping modules between vehicles will cause DTC B1015 to set.
Verify that DTC B1015 is not set.
