The automatic level control (ALC) adjusts the vehicle suspension ride height. The automatic level control (ALC) module determines the height of the vehicle based on the signal from the rear height sensor which is supplied a 5-volt reference voltage from the module. The module raises and lowers the vehicle in order to keep the vehicle level.
Battery voltage is between 9-16 volts.
The module detects the position sensor 5-volt reference circuit is less than 4.75 volts or greater than 5.25 volts.
The ALC system will be inoperative.
• | When the fault is no longer present, DTC C0696 will change from a current DTC to a history DTC on the next ignition cycle. |
• | DTC C0696 will be cleared from history after 50 ignition cycles. |
