| Brake Rotor
Tip
- If removing the brake rotor to service the brake system, mark the relationship of the rotor to a wheel stud, before removing the mounting screw.
- Using the
J 42450-A , thoroughly clean any rust or corrosion from the mating surface of the hub/axle flange.
- Using the
J 41013 , thoroughly clean any rust or corrosion from the mounting surface of the brake rotor to the wheel bearing/hub.
- After installing the brake rotor, check for assembled lateral runout (LRO). Refer to
Brake Rotor Assembled Lateral Runout Correction.
- If the assembled lateral runout (LRO) exceeds specifications, refer to
Brake Rotor Assembled Lateral Runout Correction - Indexing.
- If the brake rotor was refinished or replaced, burnish the pads and rotors. Refer to
Brake Pad and Rotor Burnishing.
