  1. Install the new filter seal (209) and the new oil filter (236).

    2. Object Number: 509575 Size: SH
  2. Install the gasket (30) into the side cover (29).
  3. Install the side cover (29) onto the case cover.

    4. Object Number: 205145 Size: SH
  4. Install the side cover bolts (28, 32).
  5. Some models may also use stud bolts (66 or 240).

    6. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  6. Apply GM sealing adhesive GM P/N 12346004 before installing the bolt (32) and tighten to 20-27 N·m (15-20 lb ft) and bolts (28, 66, 240) to 50-55 N·m (37-40 lb ft).
