Discharge Hose Replacement LZ9

Preliminary Procedure

  1. Recover the refrigerant from the air conditioning (A/C) system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  3. Remove the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement
  4. Note: Seal the A/C system ports after the hose is removed in order to keep A/C system from being contaminated.

  5. Disconnect the air conditioning (A/C) refrigerant pressure sensor electrical connector.

Discharge Hose Retaining Bolt

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).

Sealing Washer

Procedure

Remove and discard the sealing washer. Refer to Sealing Washer Replacement

Discharge Hose Retaining Nut

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 16 N·m (12 lb ft).

Sealing Washer

Procedure

Remove and discard the sealing washer. Refer to Sealing Washer Replacement

Discharge Hose

Procedure

Leak test the fittings using J 39400-A Halogen Leak Detector

16 N·m (12 lb ft)

Procedure

Remove and discard the sealing washer. Refer to Sealing Washer Replacement
