DIMMABLE INTR. DISPLAYS NOT BRIGHT (NEW DIM/TWILIGHT CONT)

SUBJECT: NEW DIM/TWILIGHT SENTINEL CONTROL TO INCREASE INTENSITY OF DIMMABLE INSTRUMENT PANEL DISPLAYS WITH HEAD LIGHTS ON

MODELS AFFECTED: 1991 PARK AVENUE/ULTRA 1992 PARK AVENUE/ULTRA PRIOR TO VIN N1654800 1992 LESABRE BUILT PRIOR TO MAY 1, 1992 (CHECK DATE ON DRIVER'S DOOR LABEL)

CONDITION:

---------- Intensity of dimmable instrument panel lighting (odometer display, head light switch, fuel door/trunk release switch, HVAC control head, etc.) is too dim with head lights on.

CORRECTION:

----------- Install new dim/twilight sentinel control that allows these displays to be brighter with the headlights on and the switch adjusted to maximum intensity.
