SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE-SEC. 8A SUNROOF (REVISED DIAGNOSTICS)

SUBJECT: ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS MANUAL UPDATE - SUNROOF (REVISED DIAGNOSTICS)

MODELS AFFECTED: 1991 - 92 PARK AVENUE/ULTRA

The sunroof diagnostics found in the Electrical Systems Manual have been revised.

The following revised pages should be replaced for proper system diagnosis:

1991 Park Avenue/Ultra - pages 245 through 248 1992 Park Avenue/Ultra - pages 260 through 263

Please update your respective Electrical Systems Manual accordingly.

1991 PARK AVENUE/ULTRA ----------------------- SYSTEM CHECK NORMAL OPERATION ----------------------------- CONDITION: Ignition switch: RUN ------------------------------- ACTION NORMAL RESULT ------ ------------- Momentarily press Sunroof Switch to the Sunroof moves smoothly to the fully reverse/close vent position and release open position. before sunroof is fully open. NOTE: To abort the express open feature, press Sunroof Switch once in any direction.

Press Sunroof Switch to the forward/ Sunroof moves toward the closed vent position and release before position and stops when Sunroof sunroof is fully closed. Switch is released.

Press Sunroof Switch to the forward/ Sunroof moves smoothly to the vent position. closed position and stops.

Release Sunroof Switch and then press Sunroof moves to the vent position. Sunroof Switch again to the forward/ vent position.

Momentarily press Sunroof Switch to the Sunroof moves to the closed position reverse/close vent position and release then stops. before sunroof is fully closed.

Turn ignition switch to OFF, then to Sunroof operates for 10 minutes or RUN, then back to OFF. until a door is opened.

Sunroof -Do 1st -Do 2nd -Do 3rd -Do 4th -Do 5th does not operate.

Sunroof -Do 1st -Do 2nd -Do 3rd operates, but will not stop in flush position.

Sunroof -Do 1st -Do 2nd -Do 3rd -Do 4th operates, but will not fully open or close.

Sunroof * does not operate for 10 minutes after ignition switch is turned to OFF.
