The Remove And Install Procedure for the Clip Mounted Rear View Mirror has been added to supplement the Service and Electrical Systems Manuals with the addition of options DD7 and DD8 (Breakaway Rear View Mirrors). Please update your respective Service Manual accordingly.
1. Adjust mirror to full down position.
2. With both hands, grasp both sides of mirror at top.
3. Remove mirror assembly from button by rotating mirror in a downward-forward motion.
1. Center bottom of mirror mount against windshield at top of button.
2. Slide mount onto button keeping mount parallel to windshield.
3. As mount starts to grip button, apply a force against button while maintaining a downward force until the mount snaps onto the button with an audible click; this operation will require at least 20 pounds of force.
4. Check to make sure mirror is securely attached to button by adjusting mirror in a normal up/down and side to side range.
