CHIRP/SQUEAK-GLASS CHANNEL APPLY SILICONE PASTE

SUBJECT: CHIRP OR SQUEAK NOISE FROM GLASS RUN CHANNEL CONTACT TO DROP RAIL (APPLY SILICONE PASTE)

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1991-92 "C" - 1992 "H" MODELS

CONDITION:

---------- A chirp or squeak sound may be heard on 1991-92 C and 1992 H models from the glass run channel rubber moulding where it contacts the drip rail.

CORRECTION:

----------- To correct this condition, apply silicone paste GM Part Number #1974984 to the portion of the run channel that contacts the drip rail moulding in the areas shown on the illustration. The silicone paste should be applied the entire length of the run channel lip on both the front and rear doors.
