--------- Some vehicles may experience an intermittent dead battery or the power windows may operate after the door has been opened with the ignition key removed from the vehicle.
----- A voltage spike from the Brake Transmission Shift Interlock Solenoid (BTSI) may cause the contacts of the number two RAP (Retained Accessory Power) relay to stick closed.
---------- A new BTSI solenoid, Part Number 26036913, has been released for service (column shift vehicles only). The new solenoid can be identified by the part number stamped into the outer surface of the part. Refer to the service manual for the correct installation and adjustment procedure. The RAP 2 relay located in Position "J" of the relay centre should also be replaced since the contacts may be pitted. Use the relay that is listed in the current parts catalogue.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
